Guitarist Raja Kassis has been an integral part of the New York City music scene for over ten years, and is currently a touring member of the legendary afrobeat orchestra Antibalas (Daptone records).  Newly relocated to New Orleans in 2014, Kassis quickly has become a fixture in the music community and presented his expertise in West African music and culture at theGeorge and Joyce Wein Jazz and Heritage Center, curated Positive Vibrations and Pirate's Choice (a West African Mandé rock band Kassis co-founded). As a solo artist, Raja Kassis released his album entitledHumanbeing (2014) to rave reviews.

Episode 12: John F.O'Donnell

John F. O'Donnell, also known simply as JFOD, is an absurd, vulnerable fireball of a comedian in New York City. He is known for his half spontaneous/half crafted live performances which are marked by psychological pain and emotional honesty. He has recently recovered from an extreme manic-depressive episode that tour apart his world from April 2008 through July of 2009. John talks about dealing with mental illness publicly though his comedy. John has been featured as one of Comedy Central’s Fresh Faces of Comedy. He was nominated for an ECNY Award in the category of Best Emerging NYC Comic. He was a featured performer at The Bridgetown Comedy Festival (Portland, Oregon), as well as The New Orleans Comedy Arts Festival, as well as The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In New York City, John hosted a weekly live comedy show called The KINGDOM OF HEAVEN with my buddy, Timmy Williams, from IFC’s The Whitest Kids U’ Know for two years. He also co-produce an annual show called FIFTY FIRST JOKES. Starting in February 2010, He will be producing a live monthly show called INTO THE WILD at The Studio @ Webster Hall in association with Atlantic Pictures.

Episode 10 : Ryan Humphrey

Ryan Humphrey grew up in a small town in Ohio building things in his yard, riding BMX bikes and skateboarding. After high school he was a Freestyle BMX instructor at Woodward BMX Training Center. He then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the next three years to work at The Carnegie Museum of Art and obtain a commercial art degree where he developed an interest in contemporary fine art. This inspired him (along with a scholarship) to attend Ohio University where he earned his BFA in Sculpture.  After moving to New York City he received his MFA from Hunter College, paying his way through school by working at The Dia Center for the Arts. After attending The Skowhegan summer residency program in Maine he worked for The Andy Warhol Foundation and participated in the Whitney Museum's Independent Study Program. He was also a contestant on Season One of Bravo’s Top Design. He has exhibited extensively. He currently lives and works in Ohio.
